Senjata ampuhnya untuk bertahan hidup melalui musik adalah sebuah Jungga, alat musik petik tradisional ala Ukulele asal Sumba. Dengan kekuatan vokalnya yang polos namun perkasa, diiringi melodi petikan Jungga, Ata Ratu akan melumatkan hati penonton di RRREC Fest in The Valley 2019.

Kahi Ata Ratu is a formidable personality who has dedicated herself to the traditional Sumba music scene since the age of 13 years. Her powerful weapon for survival through music is a Jungga, a traditional stringed Ukulele-style instrument from Sumba. With her pure yet mighty vocal power, accompanied by the melody from her Jungga, Ata Ratu will crush the hearts of the audience at RRREC Fest in The Valley 2019.

Dimentori musisi Jazz legendaris Jack Lesmana dan Bubi Chen sejak usia remaja, Margie Segers berhasil menggunakan vokal super spesialnya untuk membawakan lagu-lagu Jazz paling dikenal di Tanah Air. Hari ini, beliau merupakan salah satu artis era emas Jazz Indonesia yang masih mampu menjuarai panggung-panggung musik nasional. Dalam kesempatan emas ini, RRREC Fest in The Valley berhasil merayunya untuk ikut tampil di pegunungan!

Mentored by legendary Jazz musicians Jack Lesmana and Bubi Chen since she was a teenager, Margie Segers has succeeded in using her super special vocals to bring out some of the best-known Jazz songs in this country. Today, she is one of the artists from the golden era of Indonesian Jazz who is still championing our music shows. On this momentous occasion, RRREC Fest in The Valley managed to seduce her to take part in performing at the mountains!

This interesting band was born in the North East Coast region (Pantura) and has been much inspired by the various local traditions that are popular along the Pantura route; such as: Tarling music and Sinter Cirebon dance, as well as various life stories from fishermen, inter-city drivers and labourers there. This Synth duo who performs Electronic Ambiance music combined with Jazzy vibes, started their music project together from the beginning of 2017. Jeslla tells stories of the darker and more hidden sides of femininity with a graceful disposition, an endeavor to further strengthen the charisma of womanhood.

The buzz is that Pisitakun Kuantalaeng is an artist who produces lèse-majesté type materials and bold critics on the shenanigans behind the “Land of Smiles” propaganda, using symbolic sounds throughout his experimental noise music works. Is that just a conspiracy theory?

These rapscallions were united in establishing this holy project in 2018, and all went haywire from then on. Basically any contemporary digital mediums that can be accessed and modified in the most mischievous way are used to produce a particular type of “culturally corrupted” music genre called Funkot. We can either fathom their work as a presentation of the love/hate relationship we have with accessible technology of today and social class differences in pop culture, or simply shout “F it, let’s just party!” at RRREC Fest In The Valley 2019.

Kelompok musik asal Medan ini terbentuk di tahun 2014 dan telah mengeluarkan album perdana berjudul “Point of View” pada tahun 2017. Musik mereka terdengar dipengaruhi kuat oleh suara Alternative Pop Indonesia awal 2000-an, dibumbui dengan ritme-ritme cantik kekinian.

Established in Medan in 2014, this band has released their debut album “Point of View” in 2017. Their music seems to be heavily influenced by Indonesian Alternative Pop from the early 2000s, embellished with the fetching beats of today.

Fikri Fadzil (a.k.a Bayangan) is a guitar playing solo artists who happens to be the founder of The Wknd, a web magazine that promotes independent music around South East Asia. He unfolds the common life struggles people are facing in his hometown, with stirring sounds that reverberate into your heart.

Toto Tewel adalah pemain gitar rock legendaris yang juga seorang arranger dan penulis lagu. Beliau telah membangun reputasi terhormat sejak era keemasan rock Indonesia di tahun ’80-an sampai saat ini, dengan keterlibatannya dalam proyek musik bersama band-band ternama seperti Swami, Dalbo, Sirkus Barock, Kantanta Takwa and Kantata Barock. Beliau juga sesekali tampil bersama project putrinya, Filastine & Nova. Adalah sebuah kehormatan untuk menampilkan karya solo beliau di RRREC Fest In The Valley 2019.

Toto Tewel is a legendary rock guitarist who is also an arranger and a songwriter. He has built a reputable career from the ‘80s golden age of Indonesian rock up till now, being involved in music projects with highly regarded bands; such as: Swami, Dalbo, Sirkus Barock, Kantanta Takwa and Kantata Barock. He has also performed with his daughter and her project, Filastine & Nova. It is an honour to present his solo work at RRREC Fest In The Valley 2019.

Memadukan old school techno dengan suara mentah gitar electrik, Dully telah berselancar dari panggung ke panggung seputar Bali beberapa tahun terakhir dan memberikan sentakan listrik yang dibutuhkan di dunia musik alternatif “Pulau Dewata”. Kali ini dia bermain di pegunungan di RRREC Fest In The Valley 2019.

Mixing old school techno with crude electric guitar sounds, Dully has been surfing through gigs around Bali these last few years and triggering an electrifying jolt that is much needed in the “Paradise Island” alternative music scene. Hidup adalah pergulatan, jadi mengapa tidak ber-Hip Hop selagi ada waktu.

Kabayan is an archetype of a simple fun-loving guy from a humble background who goes in life journeys filled with ordeals and temptations in Sundanese folklore, and Omti Wekem is a Rapper incarnation of Kabayan that has ventured through ups and downs in the big bad city today for a long while.
